Grief & Loss Counseling
Compassionate Support for Your Healing Journey
I’m Terry Jordan, LCSW, and grief is the most universal—and the most isolating—experience I meet in my practice. I’ve sat with lobster fishers from Rockland mourning crewmates lost at sea, with retirees in Naples who can’t find their footing after a spouse’s passing, and with teens in Bangor whose first heartbreak feels like the end of the world. No two stories are identical, yet the ache that follows a loss speaks a language every nervous system understands.
Understanding grief & LOSS
If you’re here, something precious has changed or disappeared—maybe a person, a pet, a marriage, a dream, or even the version of yourself that felt safe before life shifted. The world keeps spinning, but you feel unmoored. My job is to walk beside you until the ground steadies again.
-
Death of a Loved One

Symptoms of Grief
Grief doesn’t follow tidy stages; it weaves back and forth. Some days the loss feels smaller, then a song on the radio puts you right back at day one. That back‑and‑forth isn’t a setback—it’s how healing unfolds.
