About InnerVisions

Compassionate Care for a Chaotic World

A Welcome From My Chair to Yours

I’m Terry Jordan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of InnerVisions. If you’ve landed on this page, chances are you’re searching—for relief, for clarity, for a renewed sense of who you are. Let me share who I am, how I got here, and why I believe therapy can open doors you may not yet see.

The Winding Road to Here

My journey into mental‑health work was anything but linear. I grew up fascinated by stories—how a single event can change the arc of a life. That curiosity pulled me toward social work in my twenties, first in community mental‑health clinics, later in substance‑use treatment centers, and eventually into private practice. I’ve now spent more than two decades walking alongside veterans navigating PTSD flashbacks, new parents overwhelmed by anxiety, executives wrestling with burnout, and individuals rebuilding after addiction. Every setting has taught me that healing happens when people feel seen, safe, and empowered.

My Clinical Philosophy

I practice through three lenses:

  1. Evidence Matters. I ground treatment in modalities that stand up to research—Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma‑focused approaches, mindfulness‑based interventions, and, where legally appropriate, psychedelic‑assisted therapy.
  2. The Whole Person Heals. Mind, body, relationships, purpose—each influences the others. You might learn paced‑breathing for panic, challenge core beliefs in CBT worksheets, and also explore how nutrition or spirituality supports your progress.
  3. Therapy Is a Partnership. You bring lived experience; I bring training. Together we co‑author a plan, celebrate wins, and adjust course when life surprises us.

A Glimpse Beyond the Office

When I’m not in session, you’ll find me trail‑running with my rescue dog, experimenting with sourdough, or paddle‑boarding Florida’s quiet springs. These practices keep me grounded and remind me daily of the mind‑body connection I invite clients to cultivate.

Why I Founded InnerVisions

I wanted a practice that blends clinical rigor with human warmth—an environment where people feel comfortable laughing one moment and exploring grief the next. InnerVisions is that space, whether you’re joining me online from Jacksonville, Maine’s rocky coast, or a small town I’ve never heard of. My mission is simple: provide the education, tools, and unwavering support that allow you to steer your own course.

A Personal Note to You

Choosing a therapist is deeply personal. Skills and credentials matter, but so does gut feeling. If something in my story resonates, I invite you to reach out. We’ll spend 15 minutes (free of charge) talking about what’s happening and how we might work together. No obligation—just a conversation to see if the fit feels right.

I look forward to meeting you—whether on screen or in person—and collaborating on the next chapter of your story.
